What is Google Display Network?

Before we start let’s understand “What is Google Display Network?” It is the collection of millions of websites. Each of these websites is eligible to shows Ads on their pages. Display network is an effective way to reach interested users, increase awareness and power up sales.

Contextual Targeting(Display Keywords): Contextual targeting is a keyword based targeting in Display Network. If your keywords match with the content of the website, your ads will be placed on that particular page. The idea here is that you show ads that are contextually relevant to the context of the page.
 
Placement targeting: When you already know what websites your targeted audience visits most, you can create a custom list of websites to show Ads on. You will get placement targeting option by choosing “Use a different targeting method” then choose “Placement” from the drop down menu.
 
Topic Targeting: Topics are the category of the webpage the user is searching on. This targeting allows you to select themes as well as subjects which your target audience likes.
 
Demographic Targeting: Demographic include age, gender, and parental status. If you want to show your Ads to a specific gender group or age, you can select demographic targeting option. For example: excluding men, women or specific age group can be useful to segment Ad groups for better messaging. 
 
Interest & Remarketing: In interest targeting, you can show Ads to specific audiences according to their interests, whether they’re a gamer, pet love, etc. This form of topic targeting allows you to select themes as well as subjects which your target audience likes.
